What Makes an Estate Move White-Glove
It starts with access. We clear your gated-community or waterfront-association Certificate of Insurance days ahead, so the gate is open and the management office has us on file. Then it is protection: we run floor runners through the entry halls, pad the door frames and stair banisters, and blanket-wrap furniture in place before anything moves. Oil paintings, chandeliers, marble tabletops, and antique case pieces are custom-crated on site rather than wedged into a blanket and hoped for the best. We disassemble four-poster beds, sectional dining tables, and the oversized pieces that will not clear a doorway, and we rebuild them in the new house.
Built Around the Long Driveway and the Narrow Lane
Half the estates out here sit at the end of a quarter-mile of gravel or Belgian block on a lane barely wide enough for two cars. A 26-foot truck does not always belong back there. We size the equipment to the property — shuttling the load with a smaller vehicle when the driveway demands it — and we stage the truck where it will not block a neighbor or a narrow road off Montauk Highway. Salt air and a coming nor’easter factor into our timing too; we do not leave a partially loaded estate exposed to the weather rolling in off the Atlantic.
