Estate Moving in Wainscott
Wainscott is the small hamlet wedged between Sagaponack and East Hampton, with the ocean on one side, Georgica Pond and the wooded estates on the other, and Montauk Highway cutting through the middle. It is a place of contrasts — open farm fields and oceanfront estates to the south, a modest commercial strip along the highway, and the airport and reserve land to the north. The high-value moves here are the oceanfront and pond-side estates, but we handle the whole hamlet.
The estate moves off Wainscott Main Street, the lanes toward Georgica, and the oceanfront stretch are classic East End jobs: gated entrances, long gravel or stone driveways set behind hedges, and the access logistics of a house that sits far back from the road. Several of these properties and the Georgica-area associations require a Certificate of Insurance before move day, and our office clears it ahead of time so the truck rolls straight through. We bring the truck that fits the drive and stage the carry to keep the lane open.
Fine Art and Estate Furnishings
Wainscott estates carry the art, antiques, marble, and wine collections you would expect this close to East Hampton and Sagaponack, and we crate them on site, inventory in writing, and move them with our own crew. Pianos come down the longest drive on padded boards without a mark.
Seasonal Storage and Southern Runs
Like its neighbors, Wainscott empties after the season, and a good share of our work is moving a second home into climate-controlled storage for the winter and back in season — or running the long-distance move south to Palm Beach for owners who follow the warm weather.
One flat written rate, locked before a piece is touched, by a crew that knows the pond and the dunes.
