Southampton to New York City Moves, Run Door to Door by Our Own Crew
The 95-mile run between the East End and Manhattan is the move we make more than any other. Half of it is the family closing the summer place after Labor Day and heading back to a co-op on the Upper East Side; the other half is the city household trading the apartment for a year-round house in Water Mill or North Sea. Either direction, we load in Southampton, roll west on Sunrise Highway to the Long Island Expressway, and have the truck in the city the same afternoon. One Max Moving crew handles the whole thing — the same movers who pad-wrap the marble console at the estate are the ones who carry it up to your floor on the other end.
The Drive and the City Half
Sunrise Highway feeds straight into I-495, and on a normal weekday we are at the Midtown Tunnel in about two and a half hours. The hard part of a city move is never the road; it is the building. We pull a Certificate of Insurance for your co-op or condo board the same way we clear a gated-community COI out here, confirm the freight-elevator reservation and loading-dock window before we leave Southampton, and time departure so the truck reaches your block inside the building’s move-in hours. No double-parked van waiting on a super.
What We Handle End to End

Because the lane is short, we can run it as a one-day move in either direction for most homes.
