North Sea is the wooded, watery stretch north of Southampton Village, running up to the Peconic and Little Peconic bays and threaded with creeks, coves, and inlets. It is where our owner lives, so we know these lanes well. The character here is different from the oceanfront estate world to the east — more trees, more water on the bay side, and a mix of year-round homes, bayfront houses, and second homes tucked down narrow, winding, sometimes-unpaved lanes off Noyac Road and North Sea Road.
The defining feature of a North Sea move is access. The lanes back here are narrow, tree-lined, and frequently end at a dead end or a private drive on the water. A long trailer simply cannot make some of these turns, so we bring shorter trucks and, when a lane or a soft sandy drive demands it, shuttle the load from a staging point. Our crew chiefs know which lanes pinch down and which bayfront drives go soft after rain.
Bayfront Homes and Long Drives
The bayfront and creek-side properties on Little Peconic and Noyac bays bring docks, bulkheads, and long private driveways, and a handful sit within associations that want a Certificate of Insurance on file. We clear the COI in advance and plan the carry so a truck never blocks a single-lane road for the neighbors.
Crating and Storage
We crate the fragile pieces — art, mirrors, glass, the occasional piano — pad-wrap the rest, and inventory in writing. For the second homes that close after the season, we move the contents into climate-controlled storage and redeliver in spring.
